Sister Tie Trail
October 13, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This is a fairly easy mountain bike ride on single track through the Deschuttes National Forest. Hence, no e-bikes are permitted. The trail is 6.5 miles and it’s an out and back. It’s a gradual uphill to the Indian Ford Campground where we can stop for a snack and a picture. Then we head back. We will start in Sisters at Fir Street park where there are restrooms and then ride our bikes to the trailhead. The total ride is about 15 miles. The pace will be easy. Please make sure your bike is in good working order and you can ride 15 miles. We will meet at the park for introductions. Please wear masks and maintain social distancing as we start. On the trail please maintain social distancing. Here is link to the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30661476.
Bring water and a snack for our stop at the Indian Ford Campground. You must wear a helmet and it’s a good idea to wear bright colors for our ride to the trail. Also, it’s helpful to have a whistle in case of emergency. Dress appropriately for the weather, as it is getting cooler, and dress in layers.
The ride is limited to 6 people including myself. You must sign up to attend. Only current members are permitted. No guests. After you press ATTEND please fill out the RSVP form to answer the questions with your phone and emergency contact information. The press SUBMIT.
Please RSVP in a timely manner and no later than 6 pm 10/12, so that people on the waitlist will have a chance to attend.
Bella rides are no drop rides. However, in consideration of others, we ask that you choose rides suited to your ability. If you choose to ride faster or slower than the group, or take a different route you are no longer considered to be on the ride. If choose to leave the ride for any reason please let the leader know.
Rain or smoke cancels the event. There will be only one ride scheduled for Oct. 13 in order to maintain social distancing on this long single track trail. If someone wants to lead a second ride, please schedule for a different day. Just copy the ride and change the date, time, host and anything else you want.
