Road Ride – South Twin Lake for those who missed or want a repeat

Today’s ride (8/31) was AMAZING! Perfect weather and AQI under 120. We’ve had some requests by those who couldn’t make it today and those who want to do it again, so doing it again next Thursday (9/7).
This is a paved ride up South Century to South Twin Lake where we will stop and take a break while enjoying the view of the lake. The store and cafe are closed for the season. We will then return the way we came.
Traffic should be VERY light.
We will meet at the parking area at MP 14 on South Century Drive. Take a left into the parking lot just past the MP 14 marker. NOTE: be sure to go to MP 14 – do not stop at the small parking prior to that. There is no restroom available here but there are lots of trees . . . .
Ride Level: Advanced Beginner
Length of Ride: 23 miles with an elevation gain of 530 ft
Terrain: Fully paved on a usually light traffic road, however, when we turn off South Century to the lake the road is rougher (but paved).
Pace: Comfortable 10-13 mph average and we will regroup periodically as needed.
For Safety: Front/back bike lights; rear view mirror; flat tire repair kit. E-bikes are OK on this ride.
**Bella rides are “no drop” rides and no one will be left behind. If you choose to leave the group, you MUST let the leader know. You will then be on your own.

BE READY TO ROLL AT 10:00AM – arrive 15 minutes prior for a pre-ride meeting.
Cancelation Notice: Rain/Air Quality of 150 or more will cancel the ride. Check Meetup by 7:30am on the morning of the ride for any updates.
**You MUST sign up to go on this ride. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete Your RSVP” form with your cell number and Emergency Contact information, then SUBMIT. If needed, please cancel at least 24 hours prior to the ride so that anyone on the waitlist can attend.
No guests are allowed on this ride. You MUST be a current Bella member to attend.
