Road Ride – Redmond to Smith Rock – 22.7 miles

The weather forecast looks good on Monday for a road ride to beautiful Smith Rock State Park!
This ride starts at the newly opened Quartz Park located at 2027 SW Quartz Ave Redmond OR. There is good parking and restrooms available.
We will then ride along the entire length of the Dry Canyon Trail and over to Terrebonne where we will climb the short, steep hill on C avenue and cross Hwy 97 safely at the crosswalk. After crossing Hwy 97 we will make our way to Smith Rock and take a short break before making our way back into Redmond. There are restrooms at Smith Rock.
Ride Level: Advanced Beginner
Length of Ride: 22.7 miles with an elevation gain of 657ft
Terrain: Fully paved on mostly low traffic roads. RWGPS shows the Dry Canyon Trail as unpaved, but it is fully paved.
Pace: Easy, 10-13 mph with periodic stops as needed.
For Safety: Bring lights for your bike, a rear-view mirror and a flat tire repair kit. It is good to have a photo ID, your cell phone and a medical insurance card.
Bella rides are “no drop” rides and no one will be left behind. If you choose leave the group by going significantly faster or taking a different route, you have an obligation to let the leader know. When you leave you are on your own.
