Road Ride – Crane Prairie out and back – 41 miles
August 20, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Organizers: Mary Ann Jestel 541.480.6630 & Ruth Wells 916.813.1206
This will be limited to 6 riders, ourselves included, in order to stay within the Bella guidelines for social distancing. Please don’t park too close together. Masks are strongly encouraged during our pre-ride remarks, and please stay 6 feet apart then and during our rest stops. If you want to purchase snacks at the Crane Prairie store you will need a mask!
This ride is for women who are able to ride 41 miles at a pace of 11-13 mph. We will stop occasionally for regrouping. Please don’t sign up if you cannot ride 41 miles at this pace.
Our starting point will be Three Rivers School in The Sunriver Business Park – 56900 Enterprise Dr Sunriver, OR 97707. There is a bathroom at the nearby Shell Gas Station.
We will gather promptly at 9:00am for a brief meeting and then roll out on the route. Please be conscious of traffic and ride single file on Spring River Rd and also on the rest of the route when there is car traffic. There is a restroom and a place to fill up water bottles at Crane Prairie. Bring your own snack or purchase something at the Crane Prairie store.
This is an out and back ride so after our break at Crane Prairie we will ride back on the same route.
It helps to look at the route in advance and print it out if possible. Send it to your phone for voice navigation. Pay attention to the elevation profile to see where the hills are.
You MUST sign up to go on this ride. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete Your RSVP” form with your cell number and Emergency Contact info, then SUBMIT. Please RSVP by 5pm on Wednesday, August 19th. If needed, please cancel in a timely manner so that someone on the Waitlist can take your spot.
Rain cancels the ride. Check Meetup by 7am on the morning of the ride for any updates.
