Picnic Ride – Intermediate MTB Phil’s with fun Phil’s Canyon finish!

Ride starting at Phil’s trailhead. Be READY TO RIDE at 9AM. We want to be sure to have time for a fun casual pace!
This is an intermediate skilled mountain bike ride from Phil’s trailhead going at a causal pace 7.5 MPH average. It’s not about speed, but you MUST be comfortable navigating the trails with ease.
We’ll take Marvin’s Garden to COD (Raceway) , COD middle (affectionately know as COD wimp out), Ticket to Ride, Voodoo’s child quick right hand turn to Phil’s trail and then a sweet down ride Phil’s canyon to the flaming chicken, maybe take a group photo! Then back to the trailhead.
The ride is not terribly technical, but has some climbing (a mix of green and blue trails), rock gardens and exposed roots. The downhill has a drop or two. The route is around 11 miles with 686′ of climbing. We’ll stop to regroup at ALL intersections. We will plan to average 7-8 MPH, social pace and finish in about 2 hours or less (including stops to regroup).
