Picnic Ride – #2 Advanced Beginner MTB Ride
June 21 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Advanced Beginner MTB ride from Discovery Park
We will meet at Discovery Park to be ready to roll by 9:00.
This ride is about 11 miles, with 646′ of climbing. Expect an overall average advanced beginner pace of 7 mph. We will ride from the park briefly on the road to a trail to the Phil’s Trail area. From there, we will ride up easy trails that parallel the skills area. We then hook up with the MTB trail, and head up to KGB via a connector trail. We take KGB to Kent’s, then down Kent’s to Marvin’s out/back before getting on the Cascade Highland’s trail heading back to the park. This ride has a bit of climbing but only one small rocky section on KGB which can be walked (I am on the injured list and will be walking this section!). We need be able to complete this ride in 2 hours to be ready for the picnic so we will try to keep our stops to a minimum.
