Mimi’s Twin Bridges a Little Dirty/Optional picnic after
June 11, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Organizer: Mimi Graves
This ride will be limited to 6 riders, myself included, in order to stay within the Bella guidelines for social distancing. Masks are strongly encouraged during our pre-ride remarks, and please stay 6 feet apart then and during our rest stops.
This ride is for women who want to ride on a some hard packed dirt roads and who are intermediate riders and can ride an average 10-12 miles per hour on mixed terrain. We will stop occasionally for regrouping. Please don’t sign up if you want to ride stronger, faster rider, or if you usually don’t ride 22 miles.
We will start at my house and continue on to the dirt Hunnell Road, bypassing the Bend-Redmond Highway to get to Swalley Road. We will continue on the Twin Bridges route taking dirt road detours. Please arrive in plenty of time to get yourself and your bike ready to ride.
We will gather promptly at 9:00am for a brief meeting and then roll out on the route. Please park on the street and walk up the driveway to meet.
For those who’d like to stay afterwards and share a distanced picnic on the lawn, please bring a sandwich.
Here is the RWGPS info for the ride:
It helps to look at this in advance and print it out if possible. Send it to your phone for voice navigation. Pay attention to the elevation profile to see where the hills are.
You MUST sign up to go on this ride. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete Your RSVP” form with your cell number and Emergency Contact info, then SEND. Please RSVP by 9am on Wednesday. You can alternately message me your info when you sign up. If needed, please cancel in a timely manner so that someone on the Waitlist can take your spot.
