Intermediate MTB: TumaloR/UpperWhoops/Sector16/Skyliner

This ride starts at Skyliner Sno-park. We’ll take our time on the ride up Tumalo Ridge Trail first, which is most of the climbing. There are some sections to walk and some short punchy climbs. After that we ride through some manzanitas with great views of the mountains.
Then we’ll take a forest road for 2 miles to the Swede shelter. The forest road is another climb and it’s not particularly “fun” … but it’s the only way to get to the other side. So we’ll stop at Swede shelter for a bite and water break. Then the real fun begins as we head down the Sector 16 trail to the Shooting Star Shelter, where we’ll take another quick break.
Then it’s mostly downhill back to Skyliner Sno-park. Upper Whoops is all downhill. We’ll drop out at the “Bench” before heading down Skyliner Trail back to the start.
Total ride is about 13 miles with 1361 ft of elevation gain. It’s rated intermediate because of the climbing.

You MUST sign up to go on this ride. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete your RSVP” form with the information required, then press the arrow button to submit. Please RSVP and/or cancel in a timely manner. If you are uncomfortable providing contact information on Meetup, you can send the ride coordinator a private message through Meetup.
Your “YES RSVP” is your commitment to attend, as space is limited to 6 total riders. No-Shows and last minute cancellations (in which you cancel your reservation with less than 24 hours notice) prevent others from participating in events, especially now that we are limiting the number of participants.
Rain/snow/thunderstorms will cancel this ride. Any changes due to weather or other factors will be announced on Meetup the day/evening before the ride.
Bella rides are “no-drop” rides and no one will be left behind. IN CONSIDERATION OF OTHERS, we do ask that you choose an ability level that is close to your skills. If you choose to leave the group by going significantly faster or taking a different route, you have an obligation to let the leader know. When you leave the group, you are on your own.
