Intermediate MTB: Peterson Ridge
May 11, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Organizers Susanita (202) 413-2693
Plan to meet at 10:15 ready to roll by 10:30. We’re starting a half hour behind the advanced beginner group but we’ll be meeting them for lunch.
We will meet at the new and improved Peterson Ridge Trailhead parking lot that now includes restrooms. Peterson Ridge Trail is a well maintained single track, crossing forest roads, and dry creek beds strewn with rounded cobble. The trail is constructed of west and east legs, with connector trails in between, like a ladder with rungs. The intersections are well marked with numbered posts that correspond with the trail map. The PRT West posts are numbered with Odd numbers; the PRT East posts are numbered with Even numbers.
This is an Intermediate ride. We will not be taking the middle trails … which we do in the advanced beginner rides. We will use the basic west and east trails. There will be the occasional rocky section here and there but there is no shame in walking. Others will be walking with you! We will keep an intermediate pace with frequent stops to regroup.
No one will be left behind!
Route to be determined but probably going up the west side and coming down the east … because it’s fun.

There are additional trail maps at the trailhead. You MUST be a current paid Bella member to attend.
One always has the option of leaving the ride and going ahead on one’s own if timing is an issue. Unfortunately for now, the ride is limited to 8 riders due to Covid 19 restrictions. Please be respectful of one another’s personal space while gathering before and after ride and at rest stops. Wear a mask if necessary.
Optional: Post-ride lunch with the advanced beginner group at Three Creeks Brewing Company in Sisters. Outdoor seating available.
