Hike! Badlands Ancient Juniper Trail
June 23, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
IT’S TIME TO HIKE! I am training to prepare for more advanced Bella hikes this summer and fall, so come train with me! This is an EASY hike/walk through the beautiful Oregon Badlands. The trail we will take is the Ancient Juniper Trail and it is a 3.1 mile loop that features many ancient junipers and beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is located approximately 15 miles to the trailhead from the intersection of Hwy 20/Greenwood (Costco shopping ctr) and 27th Street. If you’re new to the bellas, this is a good hike to start with to meet new friends!
The hike will be about a 1 hour hike and is relatively flat. Total elevation gain is 187 feet. The weather is projected to be in the low 80s and sunny so we should have pretty great hiking temperatures when we hit the trail around 10:00. Make sure to bring some water and wear your sunscreen. Dogs can come but on leash.
**This hike is LIMITED to 6 people to ensure proper social distancing.**
You can reach me at 541-602-5762 or email: [email protected].
You MUST sign up to go on this hike. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete your RSVP” form with the information required, then press the arrow button to submit. Please RSVP and/or cancel in a timely manner.
Rain before or during the hike will mean a cancellation. Check Meetup by 7:30 am that morning for any updates.
Bella hikes are “no-drop” and no one will be left behind. In consideration of others, we ask that you choose a hike that is close to your skill level based on the description given.
If you choose to leave the group you have an obligation to let the leader know. When you leave the group, you are on your own.
No guests are allowed on this hike. You must be a current paid member of the Bellas to attend.
