Easy Rider Road Ride on Dry Canyon Path and around Redmond
August 3 @ 9:15 am - 11:15 am

This ride is for women who like to ride fewer miles at a pace of 12-14mph. Please do not sign up if you are a stronger, faster rider.
We will meet at 9:15am at the starting point which is the North entrance to the Dry Canyon off Pershall and NW 19th in Redmond. (If you are unfamiliar with this, see info below on how to get there.) We will have a short meeting at that time and begin our ride about 9:30am. There is a porta-potty at the starting point.
We will ride the paved path through Redmond’s Dry Canyon, and continue on low-traffic streets and roads in the Redmond area. (We do cross a highway once.) The route is only 11 miles, but there are options for more if we choose. There is one section with a bit of climbing and everyone will go at their own pace. We will regroup as needed. (See the elevation profile in the RWGPS info:

You will need a road bike, a hybrid, or an electric bike for this ride. For safety, please wear bright colors and a helmet, and have bike lights (front and back), a rear-view mirror, a whistle, and a flat-tire repair kit. Also, bring your cell phone, ID, and medical insurance card.
Afterwards we will go to lunch in Redmond at the Blacksmith Public House, which has several food trucks.
You must RSVP for this ride and be a current paid member of the Bellas. After you press ATTEND, fill out the “Complete your RSVP” with the info required.
This ride will be limited to 10 people, including myself and co-leader Marsha.
Smoke in the Unhealthy Range or above will cancel the ride. Check Meetup by 7:30am on the morning of the ride for any updates.
Bella rides are “no-drop” rides and no one will be left behind. If you leave the group, you must let the leader know, and then you are on your own.
To reach the starting point: Meet me at the parking lot at the old Cracker Barrel at or before 8:30am. 20512 Robal Lane, Bend. We can carpool/caravan from there. Look for a silver Volvo SUV with kayak racks on top.
