Easy Rider Road Ride near Tumalo
June 30, 2022 @ 2:00 am - 4:00 am

Easy Rider means this ride is for people who want to ride shorter distances at a slower speed. Please do not sign up if you are a faster, stronger rider.
Since this is an early season ride we will ride at a pace of about 10-12 mph and regroup as needed.
Please bring a road bike or a hybrid; a mountain bike would be too slow. An e-bike is fine. There will be some car traffic but this is a low-traffic area and we are not riding on or crossing any highways. We will see mountain views, a llama ranch, a lavender farm, a horse ranch, among other things.
Here is the RWGPS info for this ride:

This route is 18 miles long and is mostly flat, with a few rolling hills. There are options to ride a shorter distance if anyone wishes. We can discuss this when we meet to begin the ride.
We will meet at Petsmart at the Cascades Village Mall and depart from there NO LATER THAN 8:45am. Look for Laury’s silver Volvo SUV in the Petsmart parking lot. If anyone wishes to carpool, arrive a bit early and we can shuffle bikes around and leave cars in a safe area. Then we will caravan from there IN OUR CARS to the starting point at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Gerking Market Road. We will park in a spot by the road to begin the ride. (The spot is not that big so car-pooling would be a good idea for those that can/want.)
It’s a good idea to wear bright colors and have a mirror, a whistle, and a light on the front and rear of your bike. Helmets are required. Bring plenty of water and a snack, just in case. Wear layers that can be shed easily and stored on your person or bike as it warms up.
Afterwards we will go to lunch in Tumalo at The Bite.
You must RSVP for this ride and be a current paid member of the Bellas. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete your RSVP’ form with your cell number, plus your emergency contact name and number.
This ride will be limited to 10 people, including myself.
Bella rides are “no-drop” rides and no one will be left behind. If you leave the group, you must let the leader know, and then you are on your own.
