Easy Rider Road Ride near Tumalo Reservoir
June 8, 2022 @ 2:30 am - 4:30 am

Easy Rider means this ride is for people who want to ride shorter distances at a slower speed. Please do not sign up if you are a faster, stronger rider.
Since this is an early-season ride we will ride at a pace of about 10mph and regroup as needed. There are 2 rolling hills but otherwise the route is flat. Please bring a road bike or a hybrid; a mountain bike would be too slow. An e-bike is fine. There will be some car traffic but this is a low-traffic area and the residents are used to bikers being there. There are some beautiful mountain views and also some farm/ranch scenery.
Here is the RWGPS info for the ride:

There will be 2 meeting spots. First, for those who don’t know where Tumalo Reservoir is, I will meet you at Shevlin Park, on the RIGHT side of the road by Aspen Hall. There is a porta-potty there. Please meet there by 9am. You will follow me to our starting point.
The 2nd meeting spot is at the parking area near Tumalo Reservoir, beyond the bridge. Arrive there by 9:15 in order to begin riding at 9:30am. There is no restroom facility there, only bushes.
The full route is about 18 miles but there are options for shorter distance if preferred. Not everyone needs to ride the same distance.
It’s a good idea to wear bright colors and have a mirror, a whistle, also a light on the front and rear of your bike. Helmets are required. Bring plenty of water and a snack, just in case. Wear layers that an be shed easily and stored on your person or bike as it warms up.
Afterwards we will go to lunch together if anyone wants.
You must RSVP for this ride and be a current paid member of the Bellas. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete your RSVP” form with your cell number, plus your emergency contact name and number. Also please let me know where you are meeting me, at Shevlin Park or Tumalo Reservoir.
This ride will be limited to 10 people, including myself.
Rain cancels the ride. Check Meetup by 8am on the morning of the ride for any updates.
Bella rides are “no-drop” rides and no one will be left behind. If you leave the group, you must let the leader know, and then you are on your own.
