E-Bike Friendly Gravel Ride! – Cascade Hwy to Swede Ridge on NFS roads
May 17, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

We will meet at the Visitor’s Center on Cascade Lakes Hwy. Please arrive by 9:45 so we can leave at 10:00. NW Forest Pass required for parking. This is an E-bike friendly ride. I’ll be on my e-mtn bike, but all riders are welcome!
From the visitor’s center we will ride up a mile from the VC on Cascade Lakes Hwy and enter NFS road 4610. We’ll ride up to Swede Ridge and do a circle around the Morningstar Shelter. We can stop for a quick bite at the shelter. About 2 weeks ago there was a bit of snow on the road, but easy to maneuver around. With the warm temps this week and weekend, I anticipate the road to be pretty free of snow all the way to the shelter. If for some reason we run into a covered spot (usually a shaded area) we can walk our bikes around.
We’ll bike approximately 14 total miles and climb about 1,600 feet of elevation. We’ll periodically stop at any intersections to make sure everyone stays on the right road.

**CANCELLATION POLICY**
Rain or thunderstorms, or smoke will cancel this ride. Any changes due to weather or other factors will be announced on Meetup the day/evening before the ride.
Your YES/RSVP is your commitment to attend, as space is limited to 8 total riders. No-Shows and last minute cancellations (in which you cancel with less than 24 hours notice) prevent other riders from participating in events, especially now that we are limiting the number of participants.
Bella rides are “no-drop” rides and no one will be left behind. In consideration of others, we do ask that you choose an ability level that is close to your skills. If you choose to leave the group by going significantly faster or taking a different route, you have an obligation to let the leader know. When you leave the group, you are on your own.
