Deschutes River MTN Bike Ride – Advanced Beginner – 9.4 miles

Deschutes River MTN Bike Ride: Lava Island Falls to Slough Day Use Area and back
This will be an easy-paced mtn bike ride starting at Lava Island Falls Day Use Area.
This ride is for those who are comfortable riding on single track and pine cones…lots of pine cones! This ride is NOT suitable for TRUE beginners. We will be riding on single and double track and old forest service roads at an easy, conversational pace. Expect beautiful views of the Deschutes River!
We will briefly stop at the Slough Day Use Area for a snack before continuing back on part of the Deschutes River Trail. There is a restroom available at the Slough Day Use area. There is no restroom at the start.
No e-bikes allowed on this ride.

Ride Level: Advanced Beginner
Length of Ride: 9.4 miles
Pace: 6-8mph on average
Terrain: Packed dirt with a some ruts on the trail but rideable. NO Rock Gardens.
Elevation: 350ft
For Safety: Helmet, Bike in good working order, flat tire repair kit
Be Ready to Roll at 10:00am – arrive 15 minutes prior for a pre-ride meeting

If you choose to leave the group by going significantly faster or slower, or taking a different route, you have an obligation to let the leader know. When you leave the group, you are on your own.
