Camp Sherman Loops Advanced Beginner Road Ride
August 12, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Organizer: Marsha Wolfson; [email protected]; 908-578-1922
This ride is for women who want to ride approximately 20 miles at an average pace of 11-13 mph. Please don’t sign up if you are a stronger, faster rider, or if you cannot ride 20 miles at this pace.
Camp Sherman loops is a scenic road ride through Camp Sherman. We will start at the parking area across from the Camp Sherman Store and ride around the area. We can stop at the Fish Hatchery for some pictures and a snack. There is a vault toilet across from the parking area and restrooms at the Fish Hatchery. The roads are mostly shady so it shouldn’t be too hot. The roads do not have a shoulder but are mostly low traffic. It is a good idea to have a mirror, and front white light. Wear bright colors. Rear red back lights are required, as are helmets. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.
