Book Club Potluck Watch Party

This was a book club favorite, so let’s watch the new “mini-series” together. “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus is a witty and empowering novel set in the 1950s, Elizabeth Zott’s dream of being a scientist is challenged by a society that says women belong in the domestic sphere; she accepts a job on a TV cooking show and sets out to teach a nation of housewives way more than recipes. The new limited series, adapted from the novel, is featured on Apple+ TV and gets great reviews. Bring your favorite potluck dish, and join us to watch it together! The host will provide some adult beverages, along with soft drinks, but if you have a favorite, bring it along. We’ll socialize and turn on the show when we’re all ready.
