Big Red gravel ride (Easier/Adv Beg)
June 19, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
This is an “easier” gravel ride from the folks at Dirty Freehub. It is around 17 miles and under 500′ of elevation gain. It is a mix of paved roads, gravel roads, and single track. The single track section is in the LaPine State park and is mostly smooth with some occasional rocks and roots. This route has a lot of nice views of both the Deschutes and Fall rivers. We will be riding at a casual (slow-ish?) pace. This ride is suitable for gravel bikes or mountain bike (no e-bikes). You can read the full description on the Dirty Freehub website.
This ride starts at the Big River boat launch off of South Century drive (past Sunriver). Make sure that check your driving time and route to be ready to roll at 10:00am. There are no bathroom facilities at the boat launch.
Michele’s phone number is 541-788-4445 if you have questions.
You MUST sign up to go on this ride. After you press ATTEND, be sure to fill out the “Complete Your RSVP” form with your cell number and Emergency Contact info, then press SUBMIT. Please RSVP by 5pm on Monday, June 8th. If needed, please cancel in a timely manner so that someone else can take your spot.
