Bellas and Fellas Crane Prairie Lollipop
July 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
This scenic 56 mile road ride with 2,000 feet of climbing is suited to intermediate and experienced riders. There are a couple of long steady climbs, but no technical descents.
Fellas are welcome on this ride. Waivers are available on our website and I will also have some with me.
From Sunriver we will take Spring River Road to Hwy40/Three Trappers Road. We will regroup at the twenty mile point before turning south onto the Cascade Lakes Hwy. A left onto S. Century and then another left will lead us to Crane Prairie Resort at approx. mile 35. We will break here and enjoy the amazing views. There are limited cold beverages and snacks available for purchase. We will head back to Hwy 40/Three Trappers Road from the lake and retrace our way back to Sunriver, hence a lollipop and not a loop!
Anybody preferring less mileage, can skip the Cascades Lakes section and go directly to Crane Prairie and back to Sunriver. This cuts off about 12 miles and some of the climbing.
Please give yourself enough time to get to the start of the ride and be ready to roll out of the parking lot by 9 am. There are restrooms and water at the Bike Barn. As always, helmets and front and rear safety lights are required.
